Received a text message from this number (201) 762-8469..."Hi, My name is Mike Martinez, I'm contacting you regarding your property at ************ in Littleton CO. Are you interested in selling?" I replied with telling this person that he had the wrong person and that I do not own the property there. When I mentioned this to my local debtors support group, several said that this was one of the tactics they had seen before where an unscrupulous debt collector would spoof or hide their true identity in order to confirm a debtor's contact details so they could continue their harassment (collection) efforts. Recently, I have been A LOT of collection calls for really, really old debts from before my divorce some 8 years ago that my ex-husband may have known about. He had a gambling and drinking problem, thus our divorce. Not sure why they are coming after me for HIS debts. He died almost 2 years ago from liver disease and I hadn't spoken with him since our divorce.

I was texted from this number. They apparently found my $350,000 home for sale on the internet and offered me $143,000 and immediate close. Either they are scammers and cheaters thinking someone would be senile enough to make a deal like that, or they are just stupid kids messing around.

Do not pick up! They are scammers! Answer "FBI <your state> Field Office" none of which is a lie, it is ur home whuch id technically YOUR field office, and FBI, which can be Friendly Box Interpreters, or Female Body Inspectors, just dont say the full name just the abrv. This has always gotten then stop and think and actually stop calling. 1-201-622-7681 is a scam #!
