Definitely a scam. Called me saying they were from Encore Energy and that my bill hadn't been paid and they would be turning off the electricity in 30 mins if not paid. Then he gave me a separate phone number to call and give my payment information to. I have TXU Energy.

When I called back after the threatening message they left for me, they identified themselves as Atlanta Recovery. They indicated I had s payday loan and I worked and lived at these bogus addresses. Someone (Chase) had filed a complaint against me for depositing a check. ALL BOGUS!!!!

Ironically, I received one of these cards stating that their records indicated my auto warranty is expiring and I need to contact them asap. I work at the Secretary's office, Dept. of Transportation for our state and we oversee the DMV here. I don't own a car at this time due to medical issues. We work closely with the Governor's office and the AG's office for the State as well. I left a message for these folks giving the Record ID that was on the card as verification and informing them that they should be expecting a call from the AG's office due to the scam they're initiating. I'm passing pictures of the card (front and back) to the AG's office Monday morning. I gave my name as well so they're free to google me as my info is online for verification.
