Received automated message saying it was Service Canada looking into fraudulent behaviour with my name, and that they need to make sure my SIN card is not being used for said behaviours, and to "press 1 to speak to an officer about this matter, I repeat press 1 to speak with an office."
I pressed 1, just to start trolling and the man asked for my name. I said "you're the one that called me, so you should know my name... Especially if you're requesting my SIN number, shouldn't my name be with that number?" He said he's sorry ma'am but he doesn't know which officer was trying to reach me... I said "sorry sir, it wasn't an officer, it was a pre-recorded message, and if this officer had been calling me like you say, I'd be talking to him still and not you. Regardless, officer, machine, or you... You guys are the ones calling me - you should know my name." And he hung up.
I've heard other people get 6 or 7 calls when they don't answer, so figured if I answered and had a quick chat, they won't be bothering me again!
