Told me they needed to verify my address to serve me legal papers. Total scam. Don't let them scare you

I received the same message yesterday and scared me to death...was told I could only pay by check by phone and they are trying to verify my address to serve me with a civil suit from an online payday loan company that I owe on from 2012. Umm I've never gotten a payday loan and I'm not giving anyone info over the phone!

Got a call from 704-457-5774 and they left a message saying they are PCSB Processing trying to deliver a legal document bu needed to verify my address. Stated I needed to call back to 855-760-1707. I called the 704 number and got an answering machine that said..." You have reached the legal department after hours....."
