This caller used eBay to locate my car for sale listing, tried to lure me into completing the transaction outside of eBay and then tried to scam me with a fake bank check.
Marketing solicitor somehow aware of my recent insurance purchase. Insisted I hear him out despite informing him already covered. Called back right after I hung up. Tries conversation tactics to extract personal information. Probably gained my phone number from online insurance marketplace form.

They say they are from Publishers Clearing House. PCH will never contact you directly on the phone. Only by certified mail or in person with the balloons & roses! Total scam. Do not respond. Have filed report with FCC because this starts on the internet and with my state's attorney. If you are requested to call this number (when they call it comes up as unknown or private number) contact FCC, your state's attorney, your local representative, and let everyone you know on social media. Michael Scholfield was my contact name, but they will change names as fast as the weather.
a friend of mine in a Florida jail / prison / corrections called me from this number. they do this for many states but he was calling from either Jackson County Correctional Facility OR Marion County Jail, i missed it and it was a voice mail. i called and it said its a corrections facility and gave options. Generic robocall about lowering credit card rates I don't even have a credit card. Was prompted to press 1 to speak to a "representative" but doing so just made it hang up. Return call said "could not be completed" so this is a VoIP number.
