I think this is a new twist though haven't figured out the gain (yet). Got a call from 8135170789. States I'm referenced as a point of contact for another person who has a claim filed against her and I'm to tell her to call the firm at this 866-951-3146 number. First message came in last week. I don't know the person who left me as reference and ignored. Fast-forward 1 week, another message.... now saying to tell the person who referenced me that they'll start going to show up at her place of employment, relatives, and home (the stuff their not allowed to do....) and that it will start the following day. I like a good mystery so I called the 866 number from my work phone and asked about it. Apparently they get wrong contacts all the time and I should no longer get any calls. The 866 number supposedly is for an "Office of Alliance" (I'm assuming some collectors office.... maybe a law firm but probably not). Ironically I can't find a so called office of alliance so who knows what the deal is. All I know is I don't know the person who gave me as reference but maybe if she gets the supposed visits from this person at her work.... she'll think again about using my name/number.....
