This number called and tried to scam the school that I work at out of $990. The man said his name was John Matthews and said he was a personal assistant from Georgia Power, and that the school had delinquent payments. He said they would shut the power down at my school in an hour if I didn't go to Dollar General with cash only, purchase a "Money Pack," and pay them $990. When I called Georgia Power directly, they said the school had no delinquent payments and that I had been scammed.
When the scammers called back to get the receipt number from the payment, we told them to get a job... a real job. They admitted that it was a scam.
