I received a message that my computer had a virus and that my ip address was used and stolen. Said to call Microsoft Windows at 1-888-862-1156. Called spoke with Derek (heavy accent as if from India), requested that I press the windows key for a while then while holding the windows key pres R key. Then it prompted to enter; iexplore www.cbttr.com. Which I did, and here came the magic words to fix this issue there is a small fee. I asked how much is the fee and he said $149.99. I stated that I have not money and hung up. Possible scam, Don't Call.
I had entered via Internet Exploer. I then checked my computers security and it stated that all is good.

I received a message on 2/3/18 that my email was locked because someone was accessing my IP address without my permission and to get help to get unlocked I needed to call 1-888-862-1156. I called and Kevin( Accent from India) wanted to sell me a service to repair my firewall and remove any malware, spyware, etc. The only thing blocking my email was the message from "Microsoft". They asked me for $199.99 for this service.When my husband said we didn't need their service and he thought they were a scam - he asked me if my husband was drunk or crazy. This is when I hung up and called the geek squad to go through and make sure everything was OK. Do not call this number even though it says if you try to close down you will lose all information not stored (not true). Definitely a scam!

I said have no credit card I need to ask my wife there he said use a debit card then they said you can make a partial payment I was. Suspicious. Then I wanted to confirm this number I just called Then tools give them card make a payment now then will give you someone to speak to about this
